Sri Lanka has experienced the worst ever-natural disaster in its history. With

each minute the death tolls throughout the coastal belt is rising and one cannot even estimate the number of people who have been displaced or missing.

It is in such a time of crisis that we can rise together as a nation and unite in a single effort to help our people.

This is an appeal for your help. Please coordinate with your families, friends, colleagues and your company/organization/institute and send your generous contribution to our "Disaster Relief Fund" as soon as possible .Details as follows;

Wijeya Newspapers Limited has set up a fund to provide relief to the millions of victims of the tidal wave disaster.

As an initial step, the management has committed a million rupees to the fund and hopes to raise a considerable sum from generous contributions. Donors could send their contributions by cheque, cash, credit card or Money Order. The list of donors will be published in the Group's newspapers.

The funds will be disbursed for urgent medical supplies, educational rehabilitation and for resettlement, depending on the funds available.
