Christmas extravaganza at the Carlton Club
As a fund raising event for the Proposed Swimming Pool Project for the popular Carlton Club, a Mega X’mas Extravaganza will be organised at the the Club Premises from Friday, December 17 to Sunday December19 starting at 6.30pm daily.

The Entertainment packed event will include trade Stalls and food Stalls with Live Music on the 17th and with a DJ on 18th and 19th. Friday 17th proceedings will start with the opening ceremony at 6.30 p.m. and at 8.00 p.m. Carols by Candle Light led by talented and versatile musician Rukshan Perera of Amazing Grace and Super Golden Chimes fame, who recently returned to settle down in Sri Lanka from New York after 24 years.

Carlton Club, which is a Sports Club in existence since 1923, in recognizing “Little Kalu” who hails from the neighbourhood for the honour and the glory he has brought Mother Lanka and Moratuwa, coined his felicitation to make this event a really Mega one.

The special invitee Romesh Kaluwatharana, who recently retired from International Cricket will arrive with his family around 8.45 p.m. on Saturday and will be accorded a grand felicitation ceremony which he well deserves for his yeomen service and contribution to the glorious game of cricket.

Those attending will be treated high quality Music as so many famous names in the Showbiz scene is billed to perform. More specific details will be released in the coming weeks.
