Lawyers asked not to attend courts tomorrow
The BASL yesterday called upon all its members throughout the country to abstain from courts tomorrow to attend the funeral of High Court Judge Sarath Ambepitiya.

Lawyers have also been asked not to charge fees from any client on that day as a mark of respect to the late Judge and to attend his funeral at 4.30 p.m. at the General Cemetery, Borella, assembling at Hulftsdorp at 11 a.m.

The remains of Mr. Ambepitiya will be brought to the Hulftsdorp Courts Complex from his residence at 9.30 a.m. and the members of the Colombo Law Society, Judicial Officers, the BASL and High Court judges will receive the body. The funeral procession will leave the Courts Complex at 3.30 p.m.
