Sinhala Film Fest on Rupavahini
A series of Sinhala films including some latest ones are to be screened every Saturday at 9.35 pm belt throughout the month of August on the National Rupavahini.

The film, “Oba Magema Weva” starring Jeewan Kumarathunge, Sabitha Perera, Grandville Rodrigo and Angela Seneviratne will be screened on Saturday August 14 and Christy Shelton Fernando’s “Thahanam Gaha” will be screened on Saturday August 21. Cyril Wickremage, Anoja Weerasinghe, Rasi Anwar, Dilhani Ekanayake, Sunethra Sarachchandra and Ashoka Peries are in the stellar cast of this film.

“Dase Mal Pipila” directed by W. Wilfred Silva will be screened on August 28. The film produced by Sriyani Amarasena, stars Vijaya Kumaratunga, Sanath Gunathilake, Sabitha Perera, D. R. Nanayakkara, Freddy Silva and Sriyani herself.

The Rupavahini has made arrangements to continue the screening which is sponsored by ‘Lux’ soap makers.
