Murali will not reverse his decision

Sri Lanka’s champion off spinner Muttiah Muralitharan does not intend to reverse his decision of not touring Australia for next months two test series as speculated by Australian leg spinner Shane Warne in the media.

Warne who is just eleven wickets from surpassing Muralitharan's tally of 527 wickets was quoted in the media saying Muralitharan might surprise everyone and show up for next months test series in Australia despite his earlier decision to skip the tour. However Muralitharan’s an’s manager Kushil Gunaskera confirmed to the Sunday Times that Murali will stick to his earlier decision of boycotting the two Tests against Australia for personal reasons.

As planned earlier the world record holder will leave for England and Australia later this week on a private tour. When asked if Muralitharan will be at Darwin and Cairns to watch Warne surpass the world record Gunasekera replied in the negative saying, Murali will only be traveling to Sydney.
