Top badminton players for SAF Games
Sri Lanka will send a badminton team compsring 6 boys and 6 girls for the forthcoming South Asian Federation games to be held from March 28 to April 7 in Islamabad Pakistan.

The men's team comprises of Niluka Karunaratne, U.D.R.P Kumara, N.J.John, D. Chamira Kumarapperuma, Duminda Jayakoday and Thushara Edirisinghe. The Girl's team comprises of Renu Chandrika, Pamisha Dishanthi, Thilini Jayasinghe, Amali Amarasinghe, Nadeesha Gayanthi and Rasangi Kalpana.

Niluka Karunaratne and U.D.R.P.Kumara will be competing in the Men's Singles event. Renu Chandrika and Pamisha Dishanthi women's singles event. Duminda Jayakody will team up with Thushara Edirisingha in the men's doubles event. While in the other men's doubles the players who will be playing are Niluka Karunaratne and Chamira Kumarapperuma.

Renu Chandrika and Pamisha Dishanthi will be playing in the women's doubles. Thilini Jayasinghe and Amali Amarasinghe will be playing in the other women's doubles. In the mixed doubles Thushara Edirisinghe will team up with Renu Chandrika while in the other mixed doubles Duminda Jayakody will team up with Pamisha Dishanthi. Nishantha Jayasinghe will be the manager of the side while the coach will be Kamal Gamlath. -SI
