| ‘Deydunu
Yanaya’: Mix of love and business Sagarika is a 25-year-old-beauty. Her father is dead and she lives with her mother. She is continuing her father’s business of dealing in coconuts. She needs to take a loan to improve her business. Chamara is a 30 year-old-young man from a village. He has passed his O/L exam and is looking for a job. Chamara’s cousin Sandun is a manager in a finance company. He gets a job for Chamara in his company at the request of Chamara’s parents. Chamara is satisfied with his job. When Sagarika comes for a loan to the finance company Sandun is absent. Piyasoma introduces Chamara as the manager thinking it is a good joke. Although Chamara is rather upset he gets interested in Sagarika and hopes to win her. Piyasoma encourages Chamara and pretends that he is the manager. Chamara finds
it difficult to maintain the charade but he is determined to marry
Sagarika as it will be a financial asset and it will solve his problems.
At first Sandun is reluctant to deceive Sagarika but later agrees
to help. Meanwhile Chamara gets a good knowledge about Sagarika’s
enterprise. ‘Deydunu Yanaya’ with its twenty episodes
is produced by Saddhatissa Caldera with Sriwan de Silva as the director. |

‘Deydunu
Yanaya’ a teledrama revolves around a charade and how they
manage to maintain the deception at all costs. Channa Perera, Paboda
Sandeepani, Kusum Renu, Sunil Hettiarachchi, Wasantha Kumarasiri,
Ratnaweli Kekunawela, Maureen Charuni, Buddhi Wickremage, Leoni
Kotalawela, Ajith Lokuge and Gamini Jayalath play prominent in ‘Deydunu
Yanaya’.
