Sumithra Peries’s latest movie creation ‘Sakman Maluwa’ (The Garden) will be screened at the Regal cinema Colombo from November 28.

The cast also include Vasanthi Chathurani, Rangana Premaratne and Daya Tennekoon with Irangani Serasinghe taking on the role of aged mother-in-law.
In the technical crew, dialogues written by Tissa Abeysekera, edited by Ravindra Guruge and camera handled by K. A. Dharmasena. Veteran musician Pandit W. D. Amaradeva did the film score.

Meanwhile, Ceylon Theatres plan to produce a film to celebrate its 75th anniversary and chose Mrs. Peries, a director far excellence, to do the direction the new movie.
