Rain thwarts Vidyartha

The Kingswood-Vidyartha Elephant Lemonade Trophy match at the Police grounds ended in some confusion, with Vidyartha well-poised for a first innings lead, with a slight drizzle falling, there was some dithering with one team wanting to continue and the other unwilling to do so.

Kingswood who compiled 238 were helped by good contributions from Senaratne, Ratnapala, Marasinghe and Dissanaike. Left arm spinner Dilan Senanayake bowled best and took 4-46.

Vidyaratha made a spirited reply and last year's skipper Wekodapola together with youngster Maduka Weerasekera put on 136 for the third wicket.
