Sri Lanka Cricket poised to finalise title sponsors
Sri Lanka Cricket(SLC) is poised to finalize the title sponsors and local television broadcaster for next months England tour tomorrow following negotiations with three top brands and two television stations.

Mobitel,LG and Dilmah are the three brands that are competing for the Title Sponsorship of the three test and three one dayers between Sri Lanka and England.According to Sri Lanka Cricket Marketing Director Jayantha Kudahetty the three tests will have one title sponsor and the three one dayers will have another sponsor.Kudahetty confirmed that negotiations with the three Organization are in progress and a final decision will be made tomorrow.

However the Sunday Times learns that LG are certain to win the race for the three one dayers while Sri Lanka Cricket is looking at having Dilmah and Mobitel as the title sponsors for the three test series.

Meanwhile Independent Television Network (ITN) along with Sri Lanka Rupavahini (SLR) are making strong bids to win the local television broadcasting rights for the tour.Sri Lanka Cricket intends to sell the local television rights of the English tour along with the rights to televise the Premier league and Premier Knock-out final round matches.

The England team is scheduled to arrive in the island in the second week of November for a six week tour comprising of three one dayers and three test matches. -MF
