UB goes unplugged
‘Flame’ will be unplugged on Thursday Nights and Cool Jazz rhythms of the ‘Jazz Project’ come alive on Fridays, while Deva de Silva on keyboards are the major attractions at the “Union Bar’’ at the JAIC Hilton.

Their happy hours have been changed to 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm and the newest addition is 9.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Also B-B-Q is on the menu on Wednesday at the ‘Sunset Strip’!

The menu features a mouthwatering selection of BBQ favourites including Corn on the Cob, succulent marinated T-bone steaks, Teriyaki Grilled Beef, Tangy Tandoori Marinated Charcoal Grilled Chicken, Oriental Marinated Pork Ribs and plenty more.

Golden Chimes in Concert
“Golden Chimes in Concert” the much awaited musical extravaganza will be staged at the BMICH on September 27 at 6.30 pm. “Golden Chimes in Concert” will come alive in association with Mahinda College OBA - Colombo Branch, Educational and Sports Trust Fund.

Whilst Lankika Perera of Golden Chimes will lead the show with her musician husband Chanaka, the number of guest artistes too are billed to be featured at the show .

Annesley Malewana, Indrani Perera, Anil Bharathi, Rajive Sebastian, Dharmaratne Brothers, Sunil & Piyal Perera of Gypsies, Ronnie Leitch and Oshanthi Dalpathadu will perform as the guest stars.

Mahinda College educational and sports trusts were incorporated on September 23, 1999 with a view to financially assisting the needy and well deserving Mahindians to pursue their studies and to develop their skills both in studies and sports.

The purpose of arranging the musical show is to raise much needed funds for this project. The show will be compered by Dr. Vijaya Corea.
