Giving Hope a helping hand
Imagine the BMICH Western Garden set alight for the big-gest concert to “ROCK” Sri Lanka... Imagine 100,000 watts of pure sound and an electrifying light display... Imagine the best combination of bands to be seen on one stage on one night... Imagine the healing power of music...

Imagine the tunes of an electric guitar and the beating of drums, contributing to a cause... Imagine “HOPE ROCKS 2”... The Student Activity Club of APIIT Lanka embarked on a remarkable journey 13 months back when they planned to rock the nation by organizing one of the biggest rock concerts in the island. The need to make it the largest concert of its kind became evident for all funds raised through the event were to be donated towards the “Hope Cancer Hospital project”.

Hope Rocks was a huge success and now these students have joined hands with the Interact Club of Royal College to bring you another electrifying show. It will be a night not to be missed as ‘Hope Rocks 2’ sets your soul on fire, come September 27.

These students have taken on an initiative that they hope will be shouldered by all citizens of the country - to raise funds for the Hope Cancer Hospital Project. The first stage of this project has been finalized and construction is due to begin shortly. But there is still a substantial amount required to complete this project.

By participating in this event, you not only ensure that you have a ticket to the largest concert ever to be seen in Sri Lanka, but you also take a step further by contributing to this worthy cause. Cancer is a deadly killer amongst our population and it is said that each person will know at least one person who has been affected by the disease.
So be there at the Western Garden of the BMICH when the stage comes alive on September 27 with a combination of six great bands and a sound and light display to keep you rockin’ till you drop.

Emerald - The corporate shirt, is the main sponsor for the event while the BMICH have done their bit by sponsoring the venue. The Sunday Times is the official scribe while MTV and Yes FM have come forward to give prime time spots on their respective channels. Tickets for Hope Rocks 2 are available at: Queens, Majestic City, The Box Office at Crescat, the Royal College Union Office and APIIT Lanka
