Four new CDs from Chandimal
Popular band ‘Chandimal and the Second Connection’ release four new CDs last week. Two audio CDs are ‘Calypso Part 3’ and ‘Sax on the Rocks’. Calypso CD includes more than 40 old Sri Lankan Calypso songs with about 15 artistes on the tracks.

Veteran Saxophonist Mahesh Molligoda and Chandimal on Keyboards feature instrumentals on many popular songs on other CD. DVD and VCD of Chandimal’s Concert of 2002 are the other two compact discs.

‘It has about 29 songs with 19 Latin dance items, ‘Chandimal said. With these four new compact discs Chandimal now has 22 CDS/2 DVDS/3 VCDS/One Double CD and 20 Audio tapes to his credit. He was the first to release a CD in Sri Lanka/First Double CD/First VCD, first DVD in Sri Lanka is to hit credit.

Chandimal is the only one, who has most number of CDs in Sri Lankan music industry exceding 22. Chandimal will be having his next concert on November 25 at the BMICH.
