Say no to arms and eradicate terrorism

Those who shout the loudest about terrorism and human rights are the very same nations who flood the world with weapons of mass destruction.

If they close down their arms factories, it will go a long way towards eradicating terrorism and protecting human rights.

All conflicts in the world too will come to a halt.

In this connection, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed accused 'high pressure arms salesmen' of forcing poor nations to buy weapons.

To encourage poor countries to buy these arms, it was pointed out that their neighbours had already bought or were about to buy these weapons. And he had said arms dealers are behind the world's wars.

Two of the most lucrative businesses in the world are arms and drugs. Both equally threaten human existence. An arms producer is as bad as a drug dealer.

Of what use are words of concern for terrorism and human rights, while producing instruments of mass destruction? If western countries are really serious about a peaceful world, let them close down their arms factories right now!
