Intellectual property chiefs meet in Colombo

The National Intellectual Property Office in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organisation, Geneva will be holding a round table meeting for the heads of the Intellectual Property offices in the Asia Pacific region from August 26 to 28 in Colombo.

It will be attended by 25 heads of regional Intellectual Property offices and would focus on providing a forum for high level discussions and sharing of relevant information and experience on policy strategies and management of related issues. The meeting will also discuss emerging regional issues such as increasing software piracy and loopholes in existing laws to deal with IP related issues.
