Another student killed by students
An Advanced Level student was killed and another injured in a bloody brawl between two student groups at a tuition class in Kohuwela yesterday afternoon, police said.

The student killed in the incident was identified as W.S.Dushyantha, 18 of Dematagoda Veluwana Vidyalaya.

Kohuwala Police Inspector B.S. Tissera said yesterday's clash appeared to be a follow up to an incident three weeks ago in a Kohuwela private tuition class where a dispute had erupted over sitting arrangements.

He said the grudge had apparently continued and reached a bloody climax yesterday when the two groups clashed with knives leaving one dead and another critically injured.

Three students have been arrested. He said a policeman in civvies had seen the clash as he passed that way and tipped off the Kohuwela police who rushed to the scene but blood had been spilled by then.
