The Deputy high commissioner of Sri Lanka in Chennai Anura Rajakaruna speaking to a radio station said there was no truth in the reports being published about an attack carried out at the Sri Lankan High commissioners office in Chennai.
The Deputy High Commissioner told the station in a statement that activities of the mission are being carried out normally. However, a minority group has held a demonstration in Chennai against President Mahinda Rajapakse's Sanchi visit.
He also added that following the incident against the Sri Lankan pilgrims in Chennai no other major incident had been reported so far.
