Anointing of oil for national New Year takes place around the island

The traditional anointing of oil for the National  New Year took place yesterday. According to customary timings the anointing of oil was carried out facing the South while clad in green coloured clothes and placing Kohomba leaves above the head and Kolon leaves at the feet.
