Oil slick finds its way to Mount Lavinia coast

The Maritime Environmental Protection Authority speaking to local media said the oil slick that  emanated from the ship that sunk off Panadura has reached the Mount Lavinia Coast.
 
The  Director General of the Maritime Environmental Protection Authority Rear Admiral S. R. Samaratunga speaking to a local radio station said the ship is continuing to leak oil. He said that due to the difficulty faced by salvage divers in approaching the ship they were  unable to stem the oil leak of from the ship.
