The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday (4) arrested a person at Katunayake Airport, attempting to smuggle gold worth Rs 10.2 million to India .
The suspect was carrying 16 gold biscuits weighing over one-and-a-half kilos.
The CID is conducting further investigations.
