The annual CEAT Sri Lanka Cricket awards for this year will be staged at Waters Edge on September 5.
According to information a total of 68 awards will be given away for Sri Lanka’s domestic and international cricketers.
An expert panel will select the cricketers who will receive awards this year while two awards will be judged by the public.
According to a media release the CEAT Cricketer of the Year and CEAT Peoples Player of the Year awards will be selected by fans’ vote via SMS and social media.
The CEAT Peoples’ Player of the Year will be given to the player among the contracted Sri Lankan cricketers, who receives the highest number of votes from the public.
Voting will commenced on Friday (10) and will be open until September 1.
Mobile phone users can vote through SMS on five mobile networks – Dialog, Mobitel, Hutch, Airtel and Etisalat and the CDMA services of Lanka Bell, Suntel and SLT City Link by typing CEAT (space) name of the Cricketer and sending to 6797.
Voting on internet will be carried out on www.ceatsrilankacricketawards.com and a page on the social media network, facebook, www.facebook.com/ceatsrilankacricketawards.com.
