A country has to be represented by players who have maintained consistency throughout their careers, such as Samaraweera, Senanayake, Bhanuka, Angelo Perera, Umesh K., Rosen, Kaushal, Serasinhe ,Manishan, Ashen and Pushpakumara, as consistency can be maintained only by those who have proper control over their playing skills. In order to keep seniors till the 2015 WC, and find places for their henchmen, we’ll have to give up playing at International level, if these policies continue in this manner. Some people make dubious remarks to demoralize confidence of youngsters. We have youngsters who have excelled in Youth WCs. They have to be brought straight from school to the 1st XI Team, as it happens in other countries, in kicking out the under-performing seniors and henchmen. The future of SL’s Cricket is more important than the future of individuals. In the ongoing Youth WC, none of our youth picked have any 1st Class experience, in contrast to players of other countries.

Selectors should be blamed for their inability to pick the right players at the right times for the National teams. In order to keep seniors till the 2015 WC, and find places for their henchmen, (we’ll have to give up playing at International level, if these policies continue in this same manner) some people make dubious remarks to demoralise confidence of youngsters.
