The Sri Lankan skipper Niluka Karunaratne led the contingent as the flag bearer at yesterday's opening ceremony of the London Olympics 2012.
Those who followed included badminton player Thilini Jayasinghe, track and field athletes Anuradha Indrajith Cooray and Christine Merrill, swimmers Shehan Unamboowe and Reshika Udugampola and rifle shooter Mangala Samarakoon.
The officials on parade included Deva Henry - Chef de Mission, Shemal Fernando - Manager of the shooter and track and field athletes, Rohan de Silva - Manager of badminton players, Samantha Wickramasinghe - Manager of the swimmers, Nishantha Piyasena - NOC representative and Ranjani Jayakody who is attending the ceremony as an Observer.
