Negombo Youth beat New Star SC by 2-0 in a third round game of Holcim FA Cup football championship played at the Kelaniya Football Complex.
Negombo Youth who maintained a steady dominance was given an early lead when K.R.P. Fernando scored in the 21st minute to help his team lead by 1-0 at half time.
W.M.C. Gunaratne further extended the lead by 2-0 when he found an opening in the 53rd minute in the second half.
