Officials get visa exemption to Chile

An agreement on the Exemptionfrom Visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official /service passportsbetween the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Chile was  signed on Tuesday in Colombo.
 
 Mr. K. Amunugama, Secretary/External Affairs and Mr. Christian Barros, Ambassador     of Chile for Sri Lanka resident in NewDelhi signed the agreement on behalf of the two countries.
 
 Mr. W. A. C. Perera, Controller General of Immigration andEmigration, Mrs.  Kshenuka Senewiratne, Additional Secretary (Political Affairs /West , UN & MA andConferences), and Mr. Mano Selvanathan,Honorary Consul of Chile in Sri Lanka were also present at the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, holdersof valid diplomatic and official/service   passports of the two countries can enter   into the territory of the other and stay fora period not exceeding ninety days (90) without obtaining prior visa.
