U-19 Cricket: Sri Lanka names squad of 17 for three ODIs against Bangladesh

The selection committee consisting of National and Junior National Selectors of Sri Lanka Cricket named a Sri Lanka Under-19s squad of 17 players under the captaincy of Richmond College player Charith Asalanka for the first three Youth ODIs against the visiting Bangladesh Under-19s.   The two teams will play five Youth ODIs and two Youth Test matches during the three-week-long tour which begins on Sunday with the first of five ODIs at the Colts ground in Colombo.   Sri Lanka Under-19s: Charith Asalanka (Captain/ Richmond College), Avishka Fernando (Vice Captain/St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa), Lasith Lakshan (St. Thomas’ College Matara), Kaveen Bandara (D.S Senanayake College), Sahan Arachchige (Ananda College), Vishad Randika (Isipathana College), Wanidu Hasaranga (Richmond College), Chamika Karunaratne (Royal College), Damith Silva (Maliyadeva College), Nushan Weerasinghe Fernando (Trinity College), Asitha Fernando (St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya), Lahiru Kumara (Trinity College), Kehan Wijeratne (Maliyadewa College), Nishan Peiris (St. Peter’s College Negombo), Pasindu Isira (Air Force), Shammu Ashan (Ananda College), Duvindu Thillakeratne (Trinity College).   Tour schedule   1st ODI: Sunday, January 18 at Colts   2nd ODI: Tuesday, January 20 at Colts   3rd ODI: Thursday, January 22 at R.
