The Acting Police Chief has announced that a reward of Rs 5 million would be awarded to the informant who provided two tip-offs on the storage of explosives in Sammanthurai recently.

The informant, a lorry driver in Nittambuwa, had provided the tip-offs on April 26 in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks, when security personnel were investigating into the suspects linked to the bombings.
