Minister Harsha de Silva makes asset declaration public

Non-cabinet minister Harsha de Silva has made his asset declaration for the year 2018/19 public, Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL), announced today (Jul 15).

"Granting the citizenry access to this information is a crucial step towards establishing a more open and accountable democracy," TISL Executive Director Asoka Obeysekere had stated previously.

Mr. De Silva became the eighth Parliamentarian to make his declaration public.

The other MPs who did so include Parliamentarians Tharaka Balasuriya, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Ali Zahir Mowlana, M.A. Sumanthiran, Vidura Wickramanayaka, State Minister Eran Wickramaratne and Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake.
