The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to inquire into the Easter Sunday terror attacks has taken a decision not to open proceedings to the  media on selected days.

PSC Chairman, Deputy Speaker, Ananda Kumarasiri speaking to media yesterday said the decision on if the PSC would be open to media coverage would depend on the subject being discussed in that session.

PSC sessions focused on sensitive subjects such as national security or when hearing evidence from officers attached to defence, military or intelligence units, the sessions will not be open to the media, Kumarasiri said.

Meanwhile, members of the Ceylon Thowheed Jama’ath (CTJ) and All Ceylon Thowheed Jama’ath (ACTJ) have been summoned to testify before the PSC today (June 20) and will commence at 2pm.
