Ministry of Crab, will hold a fundraiser for victims of this year’s Sri Lanka attacks with a charity pop-up restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard in July.

According to the Resident,  coinciding with the ICC Cricket World Cup, the two-day charity pop-up will be serving up a five-course menu celebrating Sri Lankan cuisine to tantalise every crab lover in London.

Proceeds from tickets sold for the dining experience will be donated to those affected by the recent attacks in Sri Lanka.

Hosted in the hotel’s beautiful Sky Lounge on level 34, diners will enjoy two appetisers – a light avocado and crab salad and a Sri Lankan baked crab dish that puts an original spin on a crab risotto.

Cooked up by Chef Dharshan Munidasa, the main course kicks off garlic chilli crab, where Mediterranean and Japanese food meets, closely followed by his much-loved Pepper Crab, made with hand crushed black pepper, red pepper corns and pepper stock for plenty of spice.

To complete the meal, a pandan leaf rice pudding served with a light and refreshing mango sorbet is served. The array of creative crab is accompanied by popular Asian beers, Tiger and Tsingtao, as well as a selection of signature cocktails created by the hotel’s bar team.

In addition to taking in the sweeping views of London’s most iconic landmarks, guests can also watch the ICC Cricket World Cup matches on a large screen near the tables, the Resident said.
