Three employees of Minister Lakshman Kiriella's Media Unit who were arrested with documents alleged to have been detrimental to public security were granted bail today (Jun 18).

Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake had ordered each of the suspects to be released on two surety bails worth Rs 500,000 each.

The suspects were then ordered to appear before court on September 23.

Police had arrested the suspects with more than 600 documents at the Central Mail Exchange in May this year.

The documents were said to have been a Sinhala translation of an article containing remarks against the President published on a website.
