Documents to set-up Arabic college found at Easter Sunday bomber's house : CID

Documents including an application form to set-up an Arabic College had been discovered at the residence of Easter Sunday bomber M A Mohamed Mubarak in Kolonnawa, a court heard today (Jun 12).

Mubarak, the suicide bomber behind the Kingsbury Hotel attack and others in the terrorist group had undergone training at two safehouses in Enderamulla, Nintavur, and Nuwara Eliya, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) told the Fort Magistrate's Court.

The CID also informed court that Z.A Mohamed Jazeel, a Kattankudy resident who underwent training along with the suicide bomber had been arrested on May 30.

Court also heard that I.L. Mohamed Sajith, who had signed as the Secretary of the proposed Arabic college in the application form, had also been arrested by the CID.

Sajith had revealed that M.A.Mohamed Mubarak, the suicide bomber, had joined the National Thowheed Jamath group, in 2014.
