 “Divine Dance of Energy” to mark 5th International Day of Yoga

 “Divine Dance of Energy”- an amalgamation of Bharatha Natyam and Yoga by Shrisha artistes Donisha Myleandran (yoga), Rathiksha Nishanthan (Bharatha Natyam) and Mathursha Ravindran (Sutradhar) will be presented by Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo as a curtain raiser to the 5th International Day of Yoga tomorrow June 7, 2019 at 6.00pm at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre auditorium located at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 07.

Yoga means to unite body, mind and soul. Bharatha Natyam, the ancient Indian art form is one of the most beautiful way of expressing the human longing for union with the Divine. As an art form, Bharatha Natyam demands conscious understanding of body, mind and emotions. Bharatha Natyam and Yoga are the two ways to help us understand the manifestation of the divine in the human form. Both these wonderful art forms are products of Sanathana Dharma, which is the bedrock of Indian culture.

Smt Rathiksha Nishanthan, graduated from Kalakshetra Chennai availing ICCR Scholarship of Govt. of India in Dance. She is the Director of Eshwaraalaya School of Bharatha Natyam Colombo. Ms.Donisha Myleandran is an ITech scholarship holder of Govt. of India   in YOGA and the Director of Rhythmic Yogalayaa Yoga studio, Wattala.  Ms.Mathursha Ravindran is a student of Law. Shrisha is coordinated and presented by all three of the above artistes.
