Eight employees of a copper factory belonging to one of the suicide bombers involved in the Easter Sunday attacks, have been issued summons to appear before the Colombo Magistrate's Court on May 27.

The order was issued by Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage after considering a request put forward by the Wellampitiya Police before court today (May 22).

Ten persons who were employed at a copper factory owned by suicide bomber Inshaf Ibrahim who was involved in the Easter Sunday attacks, were apprehended initially by the Wellampitiya Police.

However, nine of them were released on bail while one employee has been remanded by court. A suspect who was among those ordered to be released on bail had however been remanded for failing to meet the bail conditions.

Accordingly, the Additional Magistrate had instructed the remaining eight suspects to appear before court next week.
