Parliament passed regulations related to the state of emergency without a vote a short while ago.

Parliament passed regulations related to the state of emergency without a vote a short while ago.  

The regulations were passed after a day-long debate.  

The regulations were gazetted in the wake of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
