After a day-long closure on Monday owing to devastating bomb blasts in the capital (Colombo) and outside on Sunday, the Colombo Stock Exchange said trading will resume on Tuesday.

A 15-hour curfew was lifted at 6 am on Monday but would be re-imposed at 8 pm on Monday night and lifted on Tuesday morning. More than 290 people died in the ferocious attacks by suicide bombers on three churches and three hotels across Sri Lanka. The attacks were blamed on a radical Islamic extremist group. – ENDS -
