Suspect arrested with counterfeit notes in Kotmale

A suspect has been arrested with 45 fake currency notes in the Kotmale area, police said.

Kotmale Police acting upon a tip-off had nabbed 44 Rs 5000 counterfeit notes along with a Rs 1000 fake note from the suspect.

The suspect has been identified as a 38-year old resident of the Udahentenna area.

He will be produced before the Helboda Magistrates Court tomorrow (Apr 21).
