Not Arab Spring but Arrack Spring says UNP MP of JO Janabalaya Kolambata

7 September 2018 - 220   - 0

Joint opposition’s aim to shake Colombo with a protest similar to ‘Arab Spring’  turned out to be an Arrack Spring, UNP Colombo District MP Mujibur Rahuman said.

He said the  JO’s Janabalaya Kolambata rally was a complete failure.

“The JO sounded as if they will surround Colombo like a suicide squad, but they left Colombo around ten in the evening." he told Parliament today.

He said that  after the failure of the protest, the JO leaders were trying to find a scapegoat for their debacle and spread false stories.
