They followed with a comprehensive win of 38-15 against Chinese Taipei to finish with 6 points, which put them on top of Group 'B'.

Singapore too claims 6 points, but is placed second in the group with a points difference of 11 against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka obtained 64 points in two games with 10 tries while Singapore has 43 points from two games with seven tries.

China and Chinese Taipei lost both their games and will face each other after the Sri Lanka vs Singapore game on Saturday (11).

Hong Kong topped Group 'A' with  two wins under their belt -- against South Korea (19-5) and Thailand (33-0).

South Korea and Thailand won a game each -- both against Malaysia.

Sri Lanka has the guarantee of reaching the Cup semi-finals despite the outcome against Singapore on Saturday.
