Three killed in three-wheeler accident

Three persons have been killed and another injured after a three-wheeler toppled at Rotumba, Matara last night. 

Police said the driver had lost control of the three-wheeler, resulting it going off the road, hitting a tree and toppling. 

The driver and his three injured passengers were admitted to the Urubokka Hospital, where the three passengers succumbed to their injuries. The driver was later transferred to the Embilipitiya Hospital for further treatment. 

Police identified the deceased as aged 50, 34 and 55. They are residents of Pasgoda, Bengamuwa and Matara. Rotumba Police are investigating.
