ITAK picks Emmanuel Arnold as Jaffna Mayor

14 February 2018 - 584   - 2

The Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has taken a decision to name Emmanuel Arnold as the new Mayor of Jaffna.

He contested the 2013 Northern Provincial Election under ITAK and was elected as a member. He resigned from the council recently to contest last week's Local Government Election under ITAK.

Before entering politics, Mr Arnold had worked as an insurance executive at a private insurance company's Jaffna branch.

He holds a degree in Management. (CK)
