Railway strike ends

The strike launched by the Locomotive Engineering Operators' Union has been called off. The strike was called off following discussions with railway officials this afternoon. 

At least seven trains, both long distance and office ones, had to be cancelled this morning due to the strike, which was launched last night over the decision not to extend the contracts of engine drivers recruited on contract basis.
