We are killing the sacred - and we are suppose to be the guardians of Buddha Dharma. Dont forget that Sri Lank's fate is tied to our elephants. From Mahamaya Devi's dream of a white elephant before the birth of Prince Siddhartha, to God Sumana , our guardian dietey who rides a elephant to God Ganesha. The elephant is the symbol of our spirituality. We will end up paying for these horrific crimes. Anytime our rulers have mistreated elephants-karama has come calling for her payments and they have payed the price My appeal to our president is to learn from Uganda-they are bringing back their Rhinos that went extinct during the Idi Amin regime- tag and guard our national treasures-24 hours a day.
