Eight SSPs promoted to DIG

Eight Senior Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG). Police Media Unit announced that the promotions had been made by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the promotions had been approved by the National Police Commission. 

Accordingly, the following officers have been promoted to the rank of DIG: H.K. Peiris, M.A.E. Mahendra, P.C. De Silva, J.I.D.A. Gunathilake, D.J. Palihakkara, B.R.S.R. Nagahamulla, S.C. Galappaththi amd D..D.J.. Premalal.
