Kelaniya Uni closes due to viral fever

All faculties of the Kelaniya University will be closed for a week from noon today (16) due to the spread of a viral fever within the campus premises, university authorities announced.  

Hundreds of students are reported to have fallen ill during the past few weeks as the infectious fever spread through the student population.

Accordingly, university authorities today decided to close all faculties for a week in order to bring the situation under control. Lectures are set to recommence on June 27 and hostellers have been instructed to report to their hostels on June 26.
