Coming together in fasting and fellowship

12 June 2017 - 165   - 0

As the day's fasting drew to a close yesterday and as Muslim devotees came together for prayers in the evening in Wellawatte down Kokila Road more than 1,300 residents broke fast together. Non muslims too joined in with their fellow neighbours to sit down to share in the break fast meal.

Our photographer captured these images of residents of all denominations exchanging food and partaking of food laid out for all-  along the street.
