Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) left their fans singing along, as they took their final bow after an eventful performance, last evening at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) .

Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) left their fans singing along, as they took their final bow after an eventful performance, last evening at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) .

The beauty of their performances, were amplified by their professionalism as band. Their timing at the start of the show, was perfect, as they walked on stage and immediately began playing. This just went to show the value they placed in their Sri Lankan fans.

 

MLTR had put together a set list of nearly 20 songs for the show, most of which included their hits from the early 90’s, back when the band arose to fame. These included “The Actor”, “You took my heart away”, “Someday”and “Sleeping Child”.

 

The energy that they delivered through their music, took on the arena as the crowd were quick to get on their feet and wave their hands in the air. As they finished their set, said their goodbyes and walked off stage , it was quite clear that they weren’t getting away that easy. The familiar chant of “one more” rang across the room. The band willingly obliged and came back on stage to perform another favorite “Paint my love”    

 

Overall, as a band they truly showcased that even though they had aged over the years, their music was still alive. And it sounded just as good as it did nearly 12 years ago, since their last concert in the country. Their fans couldn’t have asked for more.
