View(s):PATHFINDER’s very first physical session for undergraduates took place on the 1st of October at University of Moratuwa with the presence of well-esteemed personal Mr. Roshan Fernando – with a Diploma in Marketing (UK), Associated Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, Master of Business Administration Cardiff University UK, Certified & Registered Investment Advisor Colombo Stock Exchange and Mr. Dhanushka Fernando – an Award Winning Entrepreneur, Social Activist, Consultant, Founder/ CEO of Finez and Founder/ CEO of Inmarc .
Addressing personal finance and the know-hows of the stock market, Mr. Roshan Fernando delivered an insightful session on the particulars of investing in one’s own future. The talk proved to be successful in briefing our delegates about effectively investing in their own future despite the intimidations the future holds, for the better.
The event on the 2nd of October, addressing our school student delegates, heldg an all-out exclusive session on navigating the future business world and turning one’s passion to successful careers. We, at PATHFINDER were honored to host our guest speakers, Mr. Asanka Bandara – CEO of Al Bandara Group, Managing Director of EYE school and a Professional Business Consultant and Mr. Mayaan Haputantri – President and Artistic Director of Clutch Plays Theatre.
Having taken place at University of Moratuwa, our speakers delivered beyond expectations, conveying the importance of breathing life into our passions and upholding a successful career amidst the ever-developing business world.
PATHFINDER’s most recent physical workshop, held at the University of Sabaragamuwa, was graced with the presence of well-esteemed expert Mr. Shiran Salgado — a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Founder of Sebascto, a business analyst, an associate at TLC Investment Advisory and an executive engineer at Brandix.
The event proved to be successful in empowering our delegates as our guest provided insight on the significance of bringing change to one’s mindset in order to bring change upon the world.
PATHFINDER, with the aim to elevate entrepreneurship amongst the youth within the country and in turn develop the country’s ailing economy, has in store a panel discussion featuring successful entrepreneurs, a career fair and a live conference in the near future.
The panel discussion will bring to light the different avenues available for those looking for a career path and highlight the impact of IT and Technology in the modern business world. The career fair will open doors to the trends in the business market and bring it a cornucopia of opportunity.
