Trinity ended round 1 of the Schools rugby league on a high note when they outclassed Kingswood College by 53-6 at Pallekelle Rugby Stadium yesterday.

At the short breather the winner led 19-6.

Trinity came in to this game with injury worries resting five of their regulars. The young outfit lived up to their expected standard by scoring a bonus point win. There were many handling errors by both teams but Trinity looked a yard faster in their approach and in fitness.

Trinity scored their tries through Upek Gammudali (3), Ashen Wijesuriya (2), Shamindra Dissanayake, Abdul Khaleel, Shaveen Premaratna  and Kaveesha Edema

Anuhas Kodituwakku was on target with 4 of the conversions. Kingswood penalties were put over by Imanka Ishara.

Referee Kelum Sandaruwan
