CSE sponsors key debating competition
View(s):The All Island Inter School English Debating Competition conducted by the English Debating Society of Ananda College for the prestigious Dr. N.M. Perera Memorial Challenge Trophy, will take place on June 17 to 19, with the main sponsor being the Colombo Stock Exchange.
The English Debating Society of Ananda College, established in 1915 is one of the most respected and preeminent English debating societies in the country. The Dr. N.M. Perera Memorial Challenge Trophy was first awarded in the year 1986 to the winners of the competition held among the leading public and international schools in the country. Debaters from 38 leading schools in the country will compete for the prestigious trophy for the 36th consecutive year at the Kularatne Hall of the College.
